Rapid delivery of genuinely affordable homes is an essential part of the solution.

However, Labour’s ambitious house building targets for London won’t address the effects felt by Londoners today – from ill health caused by damp and mould, to the astronomical financial and social costs of temporary accommodation, to endless waits for social housing.  

This year, Centre for London hosts The London Housing Summit for the second time, asking: 

• How can London deliver housing supply in the long-term while firefighting spiralling costs, deteriorating livelihoods and the legacy of austerity in the short-term? 
• How can the Treasury and the built environment sector work together to solve the ongoing housing crisis?
