London 2030: inclusive, sustainable, successful.
The past decade has seen unprecedented political, social and economic upheaval nationwide. In London, productivity has stalled, wealth inequality has grown, and inflation continues to soar above national averages.
The next five years offers significant opportunities for renewal, and the chance to create a world leading, global city. It will host the newly confirmed Mayoral and Westminster Government terms. 2030 also marks a key milestone in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals as well as London’s ambitious target to become net zero.
The London Conference 2024 – a cornerstone of the capital’s public policy calendar – was held on Monday 11 November. We convened the brightest minds from government, the private sector, and civil society to build a vision and unite behind shared goals for London by 2030, asking:
- What are the foundations we need to lay down now?
- How do we capitalise on the opportunities for investment, AI and green jobs, while ensuring London truly works for all Londoners?
- How do we grow London in an inclusive, sustainable and successful way?
