Sakina Sheikh was elected as a London-wide member of the London Assembly in May 2021. She is the City Hall Labour group’s Planning and Regeneration Spokesperson. Sakina is also a local Councillor for the Borough of Lewisham, here she has served on Lewisham Council’s planning committee for three years and the Strategic Planning for one year. For the past six years Sakina has worked on the issue of climate change, and how we can ensure climate action is embed in all areas of our governance.
