Patrick Scally is Executive Director of Hackney Wick & Fish Island Community Development Trust. HWFI CDT works with local people to secure assets for long-term community benefit. These assets delivering inclusive urban regeneration that ensures prosperity stays rooted where it’s created. Through projects like The Loop—a circular economy hub for reuse and repair—he champions civic ownership that keeps culture and economic value rooted locally, turning regeneration into shared prosperity.

Before the HWFI CDT, Patrick spent over a decade in the creative industries, both as a practitioner as well as leading the Mayor’s Creative Enterprise Zone in Hackney Wick & Fish Island for Hackney & Tower Hamlets Council.

He also hosts How Might We — East London’s home for big ideas — a podcast where he and guests design solutions to pressing urban challenges using design thinking frameworks.

He’s passionate about building civic infrastructure that links community ownership with circular economy, arts and creative production.
