Peter John became a councillor in 2002 and Leader of Southwark Council in 2010. Under Peter’s leadership Southwark has become known for progressive policies on regeneration, council house building and public health. Peter is Chair of London Councils and executive member for Public Service Reform and Devolution and Finance and Resources.
