Responding to today’s unemployment figures from the Office for National Statistics, Centre for London Director of Research Claire Harding said:
“Today’s rise in unemployment, driven by people out of work for more 12 months, underlines the need for local leaders to be in charge of their own skills and economic strategies.
As the labour market starts to revert to its pre-pandemic shape, Londoners with more flexible working arrangements will be glad to see total hours worked normalising.”
