Spotlight – Island City: The Politics of Europe, Migration and UKIP in London

This event has already taken place.

With UKIP now out-polling the Liberal Democrats, and the Conservatives committed to an in-out referendum on the EU, Europe and immigration figure large in national political debate. UKIP could help decide the next general election, but when it comes to the politics of Europe is London an island city?

Join us and an expert panel on 4 July as we discuss Londoners’ attitudes to Europe and migration, and how they differ to elsewhere; how the politics of Europe will play out in next year’s local and national elections; and, if we do have a referendum on the EU, how the Yes and No campaigns will fare in the capital.

This is the latest in our series of breakfast discussions hosted by The Exchange, each one looking at a different aspect of life in the capital and the policies shaping it. We offer the floor to experts in their field, and provide the forum where those with unique insight into our city can exchange ideas with specialists and policymakers.
