John Denham, Director of the Southern Policy Centre, and Ben Rogers, Director of Centre for London, are hosting a private roundtable discussion:
London & Neighbours January 2018
As the new draft London Plan is published, politicians and council officers across the Wider South East are increasingly aware of the importance of collaboration in tackling shared problems, but acknowledge that relationships can be strained. Our report finds that revitalised partnership arrangements, a clear shared understanding of challenges and opportunities, and central government support for devolution and collaborative working will be critical in enabling the Wider South East to meet its needs, without compromising those of the rest of the UK.
We are gathering a small group of experts and representatives from local and central government in a roundtable discussion. We will present the findings and recommendations from the report, and discuss ways they can be taken forward.
