How green jobs can tackle the climate emergency and support recovery

This event has already taken place.

London needs to adapt to achieve the Mayor’s target of net zero carbon by 2030, and we need new jobs for people whose livelihoods have been affected by the pandemic, but how do we get there?

Before the pandemic, climate change was rising up the public agenda. As the country and capital moves towards recovery, the conversation on sustainability and the climate crisis has a new focus and momentum for change is strong.

The roundtable will bring together policy makers, business and local government leaders to discuss the green jobs agenda for London. What interventions does London need to create green jobs? What skills and qualifications will a diverse range of Londoners need to take up green jobs?

The discussion will feed into our Countdown to Net Zero London conference, looking at how we bring the climate change agenda home to London.
