The Mayor of London and many London boroughs and businesses have embraced a target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. Meeting these goals calls for an urgent and concerted programme of action, and the countdown clock is ticking. So how do we make it happen?
During London Climate Action Week, we brought together London’s policymakers, business leaders, economists, academics, and campaigners to determine how to make London a global exemplar for innovative and inclusive urban sustainability.
We looked at how we can ensure London’s coronavirus recovery is aligned with our net-zero goals. What immediate actions can we take to create a greener, fairer city that works for all Londoners? What can we learn from other cities across the country and around the world on accelerating local change and global impact?
