Yasmin, 24, is the Founder and Director of Critics’ Club, a cultural programme helping young people to engage with the arts as critics. She is particularly passionate about ensuring that our cultural spaces are diverse, accessible and inclusive for all, and feels that every young person, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to enjoy the richness of the arts.
Alongside running her business, Yasmin has spent the past few years working across socially impactful organisations. From developing a strategy to launch a creative youth programme, to leading a community engagement and research project, she has experience working across diverse communities and projects. Yasmin currently works for Black Thrive – a racial justice organisation tackling the structural inequalities that the Black community face.
Yasmin holds a First-Class degree in French and Spanish from the University of Birmingham and was a 2018/19 Year Here Fellow.
