Sharmadean started the WAH fanzine in 2006 while studying at Central St Martins. In 2009 the WAH Nails salon and creative space opened. WAH changed nail culture and beauty, offering a millennial-owned, community face to the beauty business. In 2015 Sharmadean was awarded an MBE.
