Rick Muir is Associate Director for Public Service Reform at IPPR. He leads IPPR’s work across education, health and crime. He is the author of numerous publications including Many to Many. How the relational state will transform public services (2014). He regularly comments on these issues in the print and broadcast media and has recently appeared on the Today programme, Radio 4 Analysis, Newsnight, Channel 4 News, Sky News and the BBC News Channel. He has a DPhil in Politics from Oxford University. He is a Councillor and school governor in Hackney and chairs the council’s Governance and Resources Scrutiny Commission.
