Geoff Thompson is a youth activist, humanitarian and a renowned expert in sports development and politics with over 35 years experience in the bidding, hosting and legacy of major games and the positive impact of sport and the arts in the social and human development of young people and communities. He is Founder and Chair of the London based Youth Charter (www.youthcharter.co.uk), a UK registered international charity and UN NGO established in 1993. Geoff is a former five times World Karate Champion and holder of over 50 national and international titles. Geoff was recently named in the top 100 BAME leaders in the UK and the Evening Standard’s top 1000 influencers in London and was this year awarded an honorary professorship of the International Business School at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Suzhou, China.
