Lifeafterhummus Community Benefit Society run a surplus foodbank and re-use centre in Somers Town (Camden) from where they collect surplus good-to-eat food as a resource from 45 local stores and redistributes this to 80 local families and provide social prescriptions, 11 hostels, 

1 after-school club and a faith group. They also operate a ‘Room of things’ for local residents and refugees. They are supported by 50 local volunteers who help them to redistribute 5 tonnes of surplus per month – the equivalent to the 112,500kg of C02 saved in the last year alone and they have avoided 450kg of CO2 emissions thru their local model of collecting surplus by bicycle, on foot and by car. Volunteer provide circa 585 hours per month at a value of £7,020 in-kind support.
