Benjamin Barber is President and Founder of the Global Parliament of Mayors Project, which launched the Global Parliament of Mayors in The Hague, September 2016.  He is an internationally renowned political theorist, whose books include If Mayors Ruled the World (2014), Jihad vs. McWorld (1995) and the forthcoming Cool Cities (2017).
