He is a lifelong resident of Hounslow attending The Andrew Ewing Primary school (now called Westbrook Primary school) and Heston Community school, both in Heston.
Having lived here all his life, Tom is passionate about Hounslow and working towards ensuring the borough is a place where people are proud to live and work. A place where they feel happy, safe and positive about their own and their family’s future. He works closely with all residents of the community to support them in achieving their dreams and aspirations.
Tom was previously Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s services and in that role had several major achievements: Ofsted ratings and end of key stage outcomes improved across Hounslow’s schools, almost £200m being spent on expanding schools and adding new school places and the borough’s children’s services achieving an Ofsted rating of ‘good’.
On a local level he has worked with the police to identify problem areas and reduce anti-social behaviour and drug dealing and worked with residents to improve the local open spaces such as Farnell playing field.
