South London’s transport infrastructure is struggling under the weight of population growth. While it has poor access to the tube, it does have an extensive, if somewhat antiquated, suburban rail network. North of the river, the orange Overground network has already modernised suburban rail. Our report outlines an ambitious reform agenda designed to transform the South London railway network into a fast, trusted, high frequency service – Turning South London Orange.
