Responding to the launch of London Councils’ London infrastructure framework, Centre for London’s Director of Research Claire Harding said:

“These projects show that investment in London can benefit the whole country by boosting economic growth and bringing advantages to local communities.

The UK economy and tax base relies on London’s success, but it can’t just be taken for granted. The city’s infrastructure needs investment, particularly to move towards a net zero future.”
