Howard Dawber, Deputy Mayor for Business and Growth, Greater London Authority
Howard Dawber was appointed Deputy Mayor for Business and Chair of London and Partners in December 2023. Before joining the Mayor’s team, Howard worked in business for thirty years, spending 17 years as Managing Director for Strategy of the Canary Wharf Group.
At Canary Wharf, Howard was involved in the development of the Elizabeth Line and supporting the 2012 Olympic Bid and Olympic Legacy as well as commercial inward investment projects in tech, health and life sciences, and financial services.

Dr Ashok Sinha, CEO of Ashden and Chair of London Sustainable Development Commission
Ashok, previously CEO of London Cycling Campaign, joined Ashden with a wealth of experience in environmental, sustainable development and justice issues in the UK and the Global South.
After a PhD in renewable energy, a stint as a climate modeller and time as a policy analysis with Forum for the Future, Ashok moved into advocacy – serving on the Board of Amnesty International, helping to found and lead Make Poverty History and becoming the first Director of the Climate Coalition. Ashok is currently also the Chair of the London Sustainable Development Commission, an independent, unpaid body that advises the London Mayor.

James Nation OBE, Managing Director – UK Politics, Forefront Advisers
James previously worked as the Deputy Head of the Number 10 Policy Unit from 2022 until May 2024 and before that was a Special Adviser to the Chancellor. Last year, he led the team responsible for the Conservative Party Manifesto in the 2024 General Election campaign. Earlier in his career, James worked as a civil servant in MHCLG and the Treasury, following on from a role in tax and fiscal policy at the CBI.

Peter Mason is the Leader of the London Borough of Ealing. His previous cabinet portfolios have included housing, planning, skills and employment, public service reform and transformation. He is the London Councils executive member of planning and skills and the LGA Labour Group Deputy Leader.

Robin Mortimer, Chief Executive, Port of London Authority (PLA)
Robin joined the PLA as chief executive officer on 31 March 2014. Prior to joining the PLA, Robin had 20 years’ experience in the UK Government civil service across a range of Government Departments. He was Private Secretary to the Environment Secretary from 1996-97, Deputy Prime Minister from 1997-98 and to the Transport Secretary from 2001-03.
He led the work on the UK Climate Change Bill in 2006 and in 2007, became a Director in Defra where he set up the UK’s Adapting to Climate Change programme, oversaw the creation of the Canal & River Trust and directed policy on air quality and the natural environment.
