Last year, London accounted for 27% of the country’s rough sleepers and 70% of households in temporary accommodation. Since 2011 the number of London households in temporary accommodation has increased from 35,850 to 55,440. The Mayor has launched City Hall’s first ever ‘Plan for Action’ for rough sleeping and homelessness is high on the political agenda with two elections on the horizon.

Centre for London seeks to examine the challenges facing the capital when it comes to ending homelessness and rough sleeping.
