Jess currently works at leading digital product studio ustwo in the heart of London’s Tech City. The studio develops products with partners including Google, DeepMind Health, TfL and Innovate UK and own ventures such as Wayfindr, a new city navigation system for blind and partially sighted people incubated in London. The studio is well known for designing digital solutions at a citizen/consumer level.
Previous to that Jess helped to set up Centre for London as Deputy Director for Communications, and worked on the Tale of Tech City report and led the Connecting Tech City project. She also co-wrote London’s Digital Future: The Mayoral Tech Manifesto 2016 for Centre for London, in partnership with Tech London Advocates and techUK.
Before that Jess ran pro-social production company Germination, was an Associate Director at CSR consultancy The Smart Company and Head of External Affairs at think tank IPPR. During that time she was seconded to Tony Blair’s campaign team on the 2001 election. Jess is a Board Director of the Green Spring Academies Trust and innovation company Another Bright Spark. She has a MSc in Public Policy from Birkbeck, University of London, and is currently studying an MA in Digital Media Management.
